JPG x BURNA BOY
This project centers on the partnership between Jean Paul Gaultier and Nigerian superstar Burna Boy — a collaboration born from his first-ever designer capsule with the legendary fashion house. Burna Boy handpicked two archival Jean Paul Gaultier eyewear designs from the ’90s, reimagined in four colorways inspired by his album Love, Damini.
Invited to photograph during their exclusive Paris event, I captured the energy, creativity, and style of the night — a gathering where music, fashion, and legacy converged. My images highlight the synergy between Burna Boy’s musical persona and the bold heritage of JPG: how his choices reframe classic silhouettes into powerful, modern expressions of identity and self‑expression.
