For Fall/Winter 2024, Off‑White’s “Black By Popular Demand” collection, led by Art and Image Director Ibrahim “Ib” Kamara, pays playful tribute to the global influence of Black culture. Drawing on Japanese tradition and Americana, the collection celebrates identity, joy, and creativity through bold motifs—butterflies, stars, dice—and a mix of rich materials like faux fur, metallics, and vibrant prints. The runway staged on a giant Ludo board reinforces the idea of fashion as a joyful game of cultural exchange.
I sought to capture this energy and vibrancy. I focused on the interplay of light, texture, and form, highlighting how the garments oscillate between structured tailoring and whimsical expression. Each image aims to convey the collection’s spirit: a celebration of culture, playfulness, and creative freedom.
